  • Mentorship and Coaching

    For those who want more guidance with their career or life, I am available for 1:1 mentorship or coaching sessions for writers. I currently have a mentor through the Q-Wave Mentorship Program, and would love to help you with information about:

    MFA Applications: As someone who has been through the MFA application process (both full-residency/fully funded AND low-residency programs) I’m able to discern what admissions committees want from an entire package and can edit, advise and walk you through this process.

    Workshops & Publishing: I’m able to assist with what programs and workshops are legitimate and have affirming practices. I’m able to read and edit pieces and compile a personalized list based off where I think it would fit.

    Pitching: I can assist with pitching to publications and helping you with the finer details of non-fiction publication.

How it works:

  • Upon contact, I’ll send you a brief questionnaire to help me understand what you’re best looking for, and if we are a good fit. If requested, I’m also happy to hop on a 15-30 minute introduction call where I can explain how I work, what I can do for you, and chat about potential areas of growth and collaboration.

  • If we decide to move forward together (after our call), I’ll provide you with a plan of attack with a proposal document, which includes a contract and other business paperwork.

    This is when you send me whatever you need to work on. I will set up a shared CryptPad/CryptDrive folder so that we can collaborate in real-time if requested.

    Nota Bene: This is also the step where you’ll send a deposit, or pay upfront depending on our payment agreement. For those seeking ongoing work together, this will look a little different—we can chat about pursuing ongoing mentorship or editing/feedback.

  • For all clients, you will receive marginal comments on your manuscript, as well as a letter with targeted feedback towards achieving your goals. (Feel free to ask for a sample feedback letter during our call)

  • Depending on your needs, multiple rounds of revisions will commence to make your work shine.

    (One round included with every package. Each additional revision is an additional charge.)
