Need an extra eye on your writing or editing? Let me help!

With editorial experience as both a contributor (to places like Matador Network) and editor (creative non-fiction editor and poetry & prose reader) I can help you polish your work for publication! Additionally, I’ve facilitated workshops at Southwest Love Fest & Midwest Love Fest and 826CHI; and had my work supported by organizations like Tin House, DISQUIET and the Southampton Writer’s Conference.

Why you should work with me:

I’m a regular contributor to places like the Matador Network, currently serving as creative non-fiction editor at Blood Tree Literature and a poetry & prose reader for Epiphany Literary Magazine. I’ve honed excellent communication skills over the years, facilitated workshops at Southwest Love Fest & Midwest Love Fest and 826CHI; and had my work supported by organizations like Tin House, DISQUIET and the Southampton Writer’s Conference.

I promise to offer you:

  • Personalized & inclusive care and curiosity: My approach to each client is individualized. As someone who is disabled and neurodivergent, I understand what it’s like to struggle with getting your point on paper. I’m patient and use our intake session to gauge what the core of your work needs.

  • Proven process: My clients love that their voice is elevated, not erased. My main client base have gotten into their top choices for medical residencies, graduate schools and colleges!

  • Simple, supportive workflow: Using track changes, meeting over Zoom or Jitsi for real time feedback/clarification and providing a personalized feedback letter.

What I offer:

How it works:

  • Upon contact, I’ll send you a brief questionnaire to help me understand what you’re best looking for, and if we are a good fit. If requested, I’m also happy to hop on a 15-30 minute introduction call where I can explain how I work, what I can do for you, and chat about potential areas of growth and collaboration.

  • If we decide to move forward together (after our call), I’ll provide you with a plan of attack with a proposal document, which includes a contract and other business paperwork.

This is when you send me whatever you need to work on. I will set up a shared CryptPad/CryptDrive folder so that we can collaborate in real-time if requested.

Nota Bene: This is also the step where you’ll send a deposit, or pay upfront depending on our payment agreement. For those seeking ongoing work together, this will look a little different—we can chat about pursuing ongoing mentorship or editing/feedback.

  • For all clients, you will receive marginal comments on your manuscript, as well as a letter with targeted feedback towards achieving your goals. (Feel free to ask for a sample feedback letter during our call)

  • Depending on your needs, multiple rounds of revisions will commence to make your work shine.

(One round included with every package. Each additional revision is an additional charge.)
